The Basics
It’s beginning that’s difficult for most of us, whether it’s a blank page, exercise program or jigsaw puzzle. I make that beginning for you.

I do so inexpensively by using templates (pre-designed web pages) that allow you to have a professional, attractive web site in a very short time. Once your web site is live, I’ll teach you how to maintain it yourself, something that is relatively easy to do with current software. However, I am happy to discuss maintaining your site for you at a minimal monthly fee.

Site Launch

1. Facilitate purchase of domain name (e.g. www.register.com)

2. Coordinate web hosting services

3. Review client-supplied content and recommend organization, deletions/additions

4. Recommend several appropriate template designs

5. Purchase client-selected template as part of total negotiated fee

6. Make minimal revisions to template as needed/per client request as part of total negotiated fee

7. Load current, revised and new content into new template

8. Make minor revisions per client review

9. Facilitate client purchase of site maintenance software (additional client expense, approximately $90)

10. Set client up to use new software and conduct mini-training session

11. Hand site over!

The Costs

The $750 fee to revamp a site includes: the cost of purchasing the template and minimal design edits; approximately fifteen hours to review, load and revise content as well as format the site; and client training with new software. Please note: If a client wishes to provide entirely new content and/or change web hosting services, I’ll consider that a request to launch a new site.

The fees to launch a new site range between $1,000-1,500 depending on: whether or not the client would like me to purchase his/her domain name; whether or not the client would like me to set up and purchase web hosting services; and the state of client-supplied content.

For either a revamp or site launch, fifty percent of fees must be paid in advance. The remaining fifty percent will be due when the web site goes live.

Clients are responsible for publicizing their web sites.

Site Revamp

1. Review current site and recommend reorganization, deletions/additions

2. Recommend several appropriate template designs

3. Purchase client-selected template as part of total negotiated fee

4. Make minimal revisions to template as needed/per client request as part of total negotiated fee

5. Load current, revised and new content into new template

6. Make minor revisions per client review

7. Facilitate client purchase of site maintenance software (additional client expense, approximately $90)

8. Set client up to use new software and conduct mini-training session

9. Hand site over!
