I backed into my web experience. I worked at PanAmSat Corporation as a Marketing/Public Relations Associate and eventually specialized in the telecommunications-over-satellite side of the business. My interest inspired my boss to hand me management of the PanAmSat intranet launch then the web site redesign (since redesigned).

Later, I became Online Marketing Manager for Conde Nast Publications, facilitating online subscription sales of the company's wide range of magazines. I also managed the redesign of UNC Wilmington's arts and culture web site, UNCW Presents (since redesigned).

 

One of my favorite quotes is "If you can't be a good example, you'll just have to be a horrible warning." (I think that's courtesy of Tallulah Bankhead.) I like to think I'm the horrible warning, but mostly I'm the good example. Maybe one day...

What I Do Now

When I'm not posting web sites, I write fiction. I completed my MFA in Creative Writing May 2007.
